Bridge Chip Designed For SATA
Booth #8054-C6
Acard Technology's ARC-770 bridge chip supports the ATAPI interface. The IDE-to-SATA signal-transforming chip is compatible with Intel's ICH5 and can operate alone. Its main function is to connect, transfer, and transform serial signals and parallel signals.
The ARC-770 can be applied to IDE adapters, RAID controllers, motherboards, and network storage equipment such as NAS (network attached storage) or SAS (Serial Attached SCSI). By supporting parallel ATA, applications of the chip have been extended from CD/DVD-ROM writers and duplicators to the IDE controlling circuits of TVs.
ARC-770 supports storage equipment such as UDMA 133/100/66/33 and PIO Mode 0~4 hard drives. Since it utilizes 48-bit capacity addressing, it can support large hard drives.
