What you are viewing here is the original site that we made for Sabores Sin Fronteras Foodways Alliance. Recently, Sabores combined there website with the University of Arizona site, and we created an updated area for Sabores. It is listed in our profile, as Arizona Food Studies. It is the secondary site, ran by Gary Paul Nabhan, and Maribel Alvarez. It is called Arizona Food Studies.
Sabores Sin Fronteras Foodways Alliance for the Borderlands is a grassroots coalition of food activists, scholars, producers, processors and educators from the ten border states along the international boundary between the U.S. and Mexico.
Sabores is a regional and multi-cultural alliance to document, celebrate and conserve farming and food folkways of the borderlands.
It is coordinated through the staff of Tucson Meet Yourself, a non-profit organization, and the W.K. Kellogg Foundation-endowed Program on Borderlands Food and Water Security of the Southwest Center of the University of Arizona.
